Sneak peak to the future of Padel

Future of Padel

Padel’s future in brief

Padel is the fastest-growing sport worldwide. The Padel is to become an unofficial exhibition game at the Paris Summer Olympics in 2024. Paris Summer Olympics are to take place from 26 July to 11 August 2024. It can be already now said that in the 2028 Summer Olympics, Padel will be the official exhibition game from July 21 to August 6, 2028, in Los Angeles, California. There is a very professional group of people working hard behind the scenes to make this happen.

Padel’s future more in detail

One of the main factors contributing to the growth of the padel in recent years has been the construction of dedicated padel facilities. These facilities often feature multiple courts, clubhouses, and pro shops, making it easy for people to learn and play the sport. In addition, the relatively low cost of building and maintaining padel courts compared to other racquet sports has made it more accessible for clubs and organizations to offer the sport.

Another factor in the growth of padel has been the increasing popularity of fitness and wellness activities. Padel is a high-energy sport that provides a full-body workout, including cardiovascular and strength training. Its smaller court size and use of walls also make it more accessible for players of all ages and skill levels.

In terms of the future of padel, there is potential for the sport to continue its growth and become more mainstream in countries where it is currently less popular. This could be achieved through the construction of more dedicated padel facilities and the inclusion of padel in school physical education programs. There is also potential for padel to be included in the Olympic Games, which would give the sport more visibility and potentially increase participation.

The FIP is working towards the inclusion of padel in the Olympic Games and has already held demonstrations at the Youth Olympic Games. In order for padel to be included in the Olympics, it must meet certain criteria, such as having a certain number of participating countries and a demonstrated level of organization and governance.

There is also potential for the development of professional padel leagues and tournaments. Currently, there are professional tournaments held in various countries, but there is no global professional league. The establishment of a professional league would provide a platform for top players to compete and make a living from the sport, similar to professional tennis and other racquet sports.

In conclusion, padel has seen significant growth in recent years and has the potential to continue its expansion in the future. The construction of dedicated padel facilities and the increasing popularity of fitness activities have contributed to the growth of the sport. There is also potential for padel to be included in the Olympic Games and for the development of professional leagues and tournaments. With continued efforts to promote and grow the sport, it is likely that padel will continue to gain popularity and become more mainstream in the coming years.

In the PADEL1969 team, we have our own initiatives in helping to make this happen. While Padel is growing rapidly and becoming widely known and experienced by people, it is important we respect its pedigree and nature.
